The launching event was held in the courtyard of the Polines Campus Directorate on Friday (September 18, 2026). Both vehicles were prepared to strengthen the Green Peanut Team's participation in national-level electric vehicle competitions. The Green Peanut Team will compete in the 2026 Indonesian Electric Car Competition (KMLI 2026) and the 2026 Energy-Efficient Car Competition (KMHE 2026), which are organized byState Polytechnic of Bandung.
The Green Peanut Team is a student team from Polines that has actively participated in various electric vehicle and energy-efficient competitions over the past few years. In KMLI and KMHE 2026, the team will carry the spirit of achieving new milestones while developing innovations in electric vehicle technology.
The Advisor of the Polines Electric Car Team, Margana, S.T., M.Eng., stated that all team members are expected to deliver their best abilities in the competition.
"Hopefully, in this competition, the Polines representative team, the Green Peanut Team, can perform at their maximum and win the championship," he said.
According to him, both technical and non-technical preparations are crucial aspects before the team departs for the competition. Team cohesion and vehicle readiness are also factors that are continuously monitored.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bagus Yunianto Wibowo, S.E., S.Kom., M.M., Vice Director for Student Affairs and Alumni of Polines, emphasized the importance of thorough preparation.
"Preparation must be meticulous. God willing, we will become champions and achieve the best results," he expressed.
He hopes that the participation of the Green Peanut Team will not only serve as a competition platform but also as a medium for students to develop their skills, creativity, innovation, and experience in the field of electric vehicle technology.
Echoing this sentiment, the Director of Polines stated that the development of electric vehicles and participation in such competitions must continue to be an institutional priority.
"Moving forward, this must be a priority program, especially since we have won several championships in various competitions over the past few years. For this competition, it is expected that all preparations are thorough and 100 percent complete," he asserted.
The launching of PML Abimanyu Ultimate and Dwinata marks a crucial milestone for the Green Peanut Team prior to entering the competition arena. With the support of the faculty advisors and Polines leadership, the student team is now focusing on ensuring vehicle readiness, race strategies, and overall team cohesion.
Through KMLI and KMHE 2026, the Polines Green Peanut Team is expected to demonstrate the results of student-led electric vehicle technology development while bringing honor to Semarang State Polytechnic at the national level.
